Why it matters. We want a ministry marked by the presence of God, not just good programming. The prayer team builds prayer into the DNA of Thursday nights — trained, available, and ready to meet people in real moments at the front of the room.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Be available to pray with people during and after the gathering
• Help create consistent, unhurried prayer moments within the worship-service format
• Grow in how to pray with someone well — listening, scripture, discernment
• Contribute to a culture where encountering God is normal, not rare

COMMITMENT

• Cadence: Weekly (consistency builds trust)
• Arrival: 6:15pm, Thursdays
• Plus: ongoing prayer-ministry training as needed

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Spiritually mature, prayerful, and emotionally steady
• A good listener who points people to Jesus, not to themselves
• Discreet and trustworthy with what they hear

BEFORE YOU SERVE

• Baptized follower of Jesus
• 3 months at YA before serving
• Membership at HDC strongly expected
• Completion of prayer-ministry training (Would need to figure out what this would be?)
