Why it matters. A safe room is a welcoming room. As we grow, we can’t lean entirely on the church-wide safety team — we need our own trained, calm presence so leaders can focus on people, not problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide a calm, watchful safety presence before, during, and after the gathering
• Know emergency procedures and the room’s exits and flow
• Respond quietly and appropriately to issues; escalate when needed
• Partner with greeters and leaders to keep the environment secure

COMMITMENT

• Cadence: Weekly (biweekly rotation available)
• Arrival: 6:15pm, Thursdays
• Plus: HDC Safety processing and training

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Level-headed, observant, and discreet
• Calm under pressure with strong judgment
• A dependable presence people may never notice — which means it’s working

BEFORE YOU SERVE

• Screened by Mark Rutledge and cleared/trained through the HDC Safety team
• Baptized follower of Jesus
• Roughly 3 months at YA before serving
• Membership – on the pathway towards it.
